Job Description
The Personal Injury Attorney is responsible for providing injured claimants with the legal advice, guidance and representation required to successfully win compensation. The attorney will be responsible for handling the case from filing the lawsuit to preparing the matter for trial and all litigation activities in between, with the opportunity for trial experience. The goal of a personal injury lawsuit is for the claimant to receive monetary compensation for medical expenses, physical suffering, emotional distress, and income lost through inability to work.

- Must be in good standing with the California Bar Association
- Experience: 1-2 years’ experience in Personal Injury law and a thorough knowledge of the California Discovery Act, including all aspects of discovery and law and motion, is required
- Working knowledge of Personal Injury laws and procedures
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Able to function with a high level of patience, tact, and diplomacy in handling negative or challenging situations - Excellent written/verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Excellent hands-on computer skills
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task and utilize critical thinking skills
- Familiar with case management software, Microsoft Word Suite, Adobe Pro, and other legal technology

- Prepare and formulate strategy for litigation pleading, discovery, attend trials, hearings, depositions, mediations, and other case-related meetings
- Review and supervise the preparation of pleadings, discovery, motions, court orders, demand packages, and other case-related documents
- Consistent and timely reading of all case documents, including medical/billing records
- Negotiate settlements for personal injury cases
- Prepare and formulate strategy for litigation pleading, discovery, attend trials, hearings, depositions, mediations, and other case-related meetings
